When it comes to the graduate market, Gazprom Marketing and Trading is still the new kid on the block. However, having grown tenfold in just five years their plans are equally as ambitious as their competitors – which includes The Big 4. In the past they haven’t had any difficulties attracting applicants, however in 2011 they wanted to build their brand within the wider student body.
We recomended they build a social media based game, that had the potential to go viral through users sharing their scores on their facebook profile.
By far the biggest challenge was pitching the questions at the right level. So we spent an afternoon with their current gradaute intake at their awe-inspiring Regents Park HQ. And after that, well it was a long week trawling through lateral thinking puzzles, closely monitoring the stock market and working collaboratively with the client to get the questions just right.
Thanks to the ‘Trading Places’ game (a pun on the prize and the nature of their business) the facebook page has gained over 300 likes and we’re just whittling down the final entries to find our winners. Success.
